Abrasive Sheets


Our abrasive sheets products include paper and cloth-backed sheets designed for many hand-sanding applications.

Various products are available, including:

  • 3M™ 734 Wetordry™ Sheets Fast cutting waterproof sheets for use on paints, fillers, gel coats and lacquers.
  • 3M™ 301D Sheets
    Flexible cloth sheets used on metal for all maintenance and general workshop applications.  This product is available in very fine grades for even finer finishes.
  • 3M™ 618 Sheets
    High performance silicon carbide paper sheets which contain additional Fre-Cut Coating to resist loading and extend the life of the product.  Ideal for finishing paint, lacquer, wood and plastic.
  • 3M™ 222D Utility Sheets
    Available in grades P60-P400, this aluminium oxide J-weight cloth-backed sheet is durable and flexible, and is suitable for general applications such as deburring, rust removal, strapping and general maintenance work.
  • 3M™ 230N Cabinet Paper
    This aluminium oxide C-weight, open coat construction cabinet paper is available in grades P60-P220, and is suitable for all hand sanding in woodworking applications.
  • 3M™ 401Q Imperial Wetordry™ Paper
    Silicon carbide coated on an A-weight waterproof backing, bonded with waterproof resin.  Available in grades P1000-P1500.  Used for wet or dry sanding of paint, wood coatings, or other materials that require a fine finish.  This product provides long life and fast cut.
  • 3M™ 211Q/231Q Wetordry™ Paper 
    The Wetordry™ aluminium oxide construction reduces clogging, eliminates dust, extends abrasive life and improves finish.  211Q is a C-weight paper that provides for more durability and is available in grades P220-P800.  231Q is an A-weight paper, providing excellent conformability, and is available in grades P60-P180.
  • 3M™ 216U Fre-Cut™ Gold 
    An aluminium oxide gold disc constructed on an A-weight lightweight paper backing.  Available in grades P100-P800.  Used in applications where clogging is a problem.
  • 3M™ 415U Fre-Cut™ 
    A silicon carbide, open coat, A-weight sheet that is especially suited to wood and sealer sanding.  The product is stearated and resin-bonded, and is available in grades 220 and coarser.
  • 3M™ Clean and Finish Hand PadsScotchbrite hand pads are excellent for hand finishing of wood, metal and composites.  Available in Medium (Type A Maroon), Type S Ultra Fine (7448 Grey), Type A Very Fine (7447 Maroon for general purpose applications) and Super Fine (7446 Blue for blending applications).
  • 3M™ Sanding Sponges
    Our sanding sponges are ideal for corners, contours, sealer and flat surfaces on wood, metal, plastic and paint. Full-size sponges are available in fine, medium and coarse, while soft-back sanding sponges are available in medium, fine and super fine.
