RelyX™ Unicem 2 Cements are strong where it counts and combines the key factors for clinical success:
High colour stability for natural aesthetics.
Patients will enjoy the high colour stability of RelyX™ Unicem 2 Cements. Compared to other leading products, it clearly shows the least amount of discolouration after 3 days in a coffee solution.
Proven long-term stability – due to unique material characteristics.
RelyX™ Unicem 2 Cements are acidic and hydrophilic upon application and becomes neutral and hydrophobic after setting. Therefore, it is better able to resist water uptake and remains more stable over time. The results of thermocycling stress tests on self-adhesive resin cements show that RelyX™ Unicem 2 Cements remain intact, while others show obvious cracking.
Excellent bond strength.
You can rely on the performance of RelyX™ Unicem 2 Cements more than ever: compared to other self-adhesive resin cements, RelyX™ Unicem 2 Cements show the best adhesion – on both dentine and enamel. Patients will benefit from a long-lasting and secure restoration.
Cracked tooth in the area of the palatal cusp. The tooth was previously root canal treated. The insufficient root post was removed and an endodontic retreatment was done. The patient requested a tooth-coloured restoration. To achieve better aesthetics the existing inlay restoration was also replaced by a composite restoration.

Upper first molar with an insufficient composite filling. Due to the secondary caries progression an endodontic treatment was indicated. For tooth stabilisation a crown was indicated, in this case an all-ceramic Lava™ Zirconia Crown (3M ESPE). During the period until the final cementation the patient was treated with Protemp™ Crown Temporisation Material from 3M ESPE.
